VA Energy & VTCA Present More Individual Safety Awards

The good times continue to roll! VTCA and VA Energy presented more individual safety awards to miners that reached milestones without a lost time accident. This time the show was in Lynchburg and Boxley’s Lawyers Road Plant to recognize six Boxley miners.

Those honored were:

• Mark Wood - 36 years
• Barry Jennings - 36 years
• Ward Kelso - 30 Years
• Richard Wood - 30 Years
• Gregory Mosley - 30 Years

Additionally recognized was Roy Thacker – 30 years of service. Roy was not present and is enjoying his retirement!

These gentlemen have a combined 192 years of work without a lost time accident. Impressive to say the least!

This year VTCA & VA Energy will have recognized 97 miners representing nearly 2,900 years without a lost time accident. This sets a new record since the inception of this award. And Virginia is the only State that recognizes these individual milestones.
