Virginians For Better Transportation 

vbt-logoVirginians for Better Transportation (VBT) is the public education and outreach effort of the Virginia Transportation Construction Alliance (VTCA). VTCA is the only state association exclusively dedicated to serving the transportation construction industries who plan, design, build and maintain Virginia’s transportation systems.

VBT was formed more than a decade ago by Virginia leaders from a variety of transportation sectors such as road, rail, transit and business.

In the past, VBT’s primary focus was educating about and advocating for long-term, sustainable transportation funding. With the successful passing of HB 2313 in 2013, more than $2 billion will be allocated every year specifically for Virginia’s transportation needs and VBT now focuses on:

  • EDUCATING VIRGINIANS about the essential role transportation plays in the quality of life of all citizens.
  • UPDATING VIRGINIANS on the progress of statewide, both rural and urban, and regional transportation projects.
  • ADVOCATING for continued support of long-term transportation funding to ensure Virginia’s transportation needs are met.
