VDOT Roadway Design Software Licensing
VDOT’s Design Technologies Support Group has issued an update concerning renewal of design software licensing. Any licenses that were issued prior to June 2024 have since expired. The new Bentley contract is now in place, effective July 1, 2024. If you have requested and received licenses already, Design Technologies will send new licenses to replace the issued ‘temporary’ licenses. The new licenses will be good until June 28, 2025. If you have yet to renew your license for the coming year, please complete the new LD-893 form (see full VDOT Update Announcement for more information).
A new licensing program will begin for the 2025-2026 term starting July of 2025. After that the Virginia Department of Transportation will only provide licenses to registered DBE/SWAM consulting firms, contractors and utility companies that have active VDOT projects.
