Jerry Mrykalo

Mr. Mrykalo leads Dewberry’s mid-Atlantic Traffic Engineering group, located in Fairfax, Virginia. He has extensive experience in traffic and roadway design, serving as the traffic Engineer-Of-Record on over 50 projects, with combined construction values of over $2 Billion. These projects include several large-scale design-build projects such as the Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project (Phase 2), the Intercounty Connector (ICC), I-64 Widening, and I-66 Widening. Specializations of the group and Mr. Mrykalo include traffic analysis, traffic studies, Transportation Management Plan (TMP) development, Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) design, traffic signal design, signing and pavement marking design, lighting design, intelligent transportation systems (ITS) design, and electronic toll collection (ETC) design. Mr. Mrykalo is also an expert in work zone traffic safety and operations. He has held leadership positions with the Virginia Transportation Construction Alliance (Chairman of the VTCA Design-Build Committee), and was recognized by Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS-DC) for his contribution to the advancement of women and minorities in the transportation field.
