- The Henrico County Life Ready Expo is September 24 from 6-8 pm and is a district-wide career exploration event for area students grades 6-12. The Life Ready Expo offers students and their families the opportunity to talk with employers from each of Virginia’s 17 career clusters, and learn about career pathways, educational requirements along with compensation, and future growth in career fields. - The 2024 VACTEA Annual Conference will be held October 7-11 at the Hotel Madison and Shenandoah Conference Center with exhibitor booth spaces available! View the agenda and register at https://sites.google.com/view/vactea/professional-learning.
- VA Community College Summit – As VTCA and other Transportation Construction organizations have been pushing the VA Community College System to map out a plan for the Virginia Infrastructure Academy, the VCCS has set up a one-day Summit, October 22 in Roanoke. They are looking for industry participation and would encourage an HR person or hiring manager to attend to help the VCCS better understand the training your firm needs. - Mission Tomorrow will be held on Tuesday, October 22 through Thursday, October 24 at the Richmond Raceway. Mission Tomorrow presented in partnership with Junior Achievement of Central VA, is the Richmond region’s interactive career exploration event for middle school students. The deadline to register for your booth is Friday, September 13.
