As Carter Machinery starts up a new semester of classes for their heavy equipment operator program in October, Carter is offering a spot to one VTCA Member.

What is Carter Academy?

The Carter Academy for Constuction Related Trades provides heavy equipment operator and technician training to help fill the skills gap throughout Virginia for workers and employers looking to fill these positions. The Academy is certified to operate by the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV). The operator certificate program is offered at Carter Academy’s North, Central, and Southwestern Virginia locations, and is led by a team of certified instructors and administrative staff. Together, they provide students with top-notch classroom, online, and hands-on instruction on multiple Cat® heavy equipment machines, as well as through state-of-the-art Cat simulators.
