VDOT Maintains Fixed Vehicle and Reduced Mileage Rates for CEI Contracts

VDOT’s Construction Division has posted a memorandum that establishes vehicle and mileage rates for Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) contracts effective January 1, 2025. In summary, the ‘fixed monthly vehicle rate’ ($900) and ‘reduced mileage rate’ (37 cents per mile) remain unchanged for 2025. The ‘standard rate’ does accommodate a 3-cent increase at 70 cents per mile.

While this memorandum supersedes previous guidance regarding prevailing rates, the Advance Agreement dated August 1, 2023, remains the most recent guidance on Vehicle Requirements and which mileage rates to use for invoicing.
