Welcome NEW VTCA Board Members
The Virginia Transportation Construction Alliance is delighted to announce the appointment of its incoming Officers and Board of Directors. This esteemed group of professionals brings together a diverse array of expertise, experience, and a shared commitment to advancing the transportation construction industry in Virginia. Each member of the board is a respected leader in their field, dedicated to fostering innovation, safety, and sustainability in transportation infrastructure. We eagerly anticipate the impactful contributions and forward-thinking initiatives that will occur under their leadership.
Incoming officers and Board of Directors include Kip Addison from Vulcan Materials as President, Nate Orders from Orders Construction as Vice President, and Eddie Gupton from Rockydale Quarries as Secretary-Treasurer. Joining them on the Board of Directors are esteemed members Chuck Smith from Shirley Contracting, Ryan Terry from Branscome, Pete Compher from Luck Stone, Marc Kmec from Martin Marietta, Tanner Dahlke from Carter Machinery, and Brennan Collier from ATCS. Together, this dynamic group is set to steer VTCA toward continued excellence and innovation in the transportation construction industry.

Kip Addison Kip Addison, the Area Sales Manager for Vulcan Materials, brings expertise in sales and community engagement. A graduate of George Mason University with a degree in History, Kip actively contributes to the industry through his service on the Boards of the Old Dominion Highway Contractors Association and the Workhouse Arts Foundation in Lorton, VA. He resides in Northern Virginia with his wife Julie and their two children. |

Nate Orders Nate Orders is the President of Orders Construction Company, where he brings his expertise in civil engineering and construction management. A graduate of Cornell University with a BS in Civil Engineering, Nate also serves as Vice President and Founding Partner of Paramount Builders, LLC, specializing in commercial and luxury residential construction management. He lives in Saint Albans, WV, with his wife Melissa and their four children. |

Eddie Gupton Eddie manages sales for construction aggregates and agricultural products for Rockydale Quarries, boasting 21 years in the aggregates business with experience in concrete and asphalt sales in NC and VA. He serves on the Boards of the Associated General Contractors of Virginia and the Old Dominion Highway Contractors Association. |

Chuck Smith With 35 years at Shirley Contracting, Chuck oversees design-build project life cycles, managing design, construction, and contract administration. Notable projects include the I-64 Capacity Improvements and the I-95/I-495 Woodrow Wilson Bridge Project. He holds a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Maryland and resides in Fredericksburg, VA with his wife Susan and their five children. |

Ryan Terry Ryan is the current Director of Construction Operations at Branscome and has had a passion for heavy civil construction, working on infrastructure projects across the East Coast since 2014. He holds a Civil Engineering degree from the University of Missouri and enjoys fishing and hunting. Ryan lives in Virginia Beach with his wife Cary and their two children. |

Pete Compher Pete is currently Vice President of Sales and Logistic Support at Luck Stone, but began his career with Luck Stone in 2000 and has held various roles, including Market Analyst, Sales Manager, and GM of the Northern Region. He holds a bachelor's in business administration from Radford University and an MBA. Pete and his wife Rachel live in Stephens City, VA with their four children. |

Marc Kmec Marc Kmec has 19 years of experience with Martin Marietta, including the last three as VP/GM of their Maryland and Virginia business. He previously served as GM of Virginia, Sales Manager in Greensboro, NC, and sales representative in Florida and the offshore business. Marc holds an MBA from Georgia Southern and a Bachelor of Business Administration from NC State. He currently serves on the executive committee and board for MTBMA and is a former Chairman of Young Leaders for NSSGA. He lives in Frederick, MD, with his wife and two young sons. |

Tanner Dahlke Tanner started with Caterpillar in 2006 and has held customer-facing roles in sales, product support, parts, service, and rental operations. Now at Carter Machinery, he leads the Rental Services strategy. Tanner graduated from NC State University with a degree in Materials Science and Engineering and lives in Richmond, VA with his wife Nicole and their five children. |

Brennan Collier Brennan leads strategic sales for ATCS, guiding partnerships and pursuits from Pennsylvania to South Carolina. With over 27 years in the transportation industry, she has served in roles with VDOT and consulting firms. Brennan serves on several Boards, including the Virginia Transportation Construction Alliance and ARTBA’s P3 Division. |
